The history of FDC
FDC’s roots go back to the middle of the 1960s when EDP (as it was then referred to) started to become part of the running of insurance and pension companies. In other words, we were there from the beginning.
A joint IT company
FDC was founded by a circle of Danish insurance companies which agreed to establish a joint EDP company. FDC was to establish the foundations for ‘companies to use modern computer technology to support their administrative systems'. Initially, this concerned policy management, claims processing, finances and payroll.
The F2100 system was born
The first foundations for the F2100 standard solution were laid at the end of the 1980s. Since then, the system has undergone constant development and expansion to its situation today where it is a state-of-the-art system for the administration, operation and development of insurance and pension products.
Today
In November 2001, FDC relocated from Malmparken to Lautrupvang 3 in Ballerup, Den-mark, which is some 20 kilometres from the centre of Copenhagen. Today, FDC is a modern, service-minded company specialising in developing and supplying IT solutions for the insurance and pension sector.
